Get ready to dress up for our Santa Fun Run, raising money for the Waterlink Way of Life. Put on your favourite Santa outfit and join fellow dashers for a cheerful, in-person community run. Expect festive fun, friendly faces and a pace that suits you.

Open to all adults aged 18+ — this event is not just for ladies. Family, friends and dogs on leads are very welcome to cheer along the route.

Your morning at a glance

 

10:00am · Registration and Santa hats
Arrive in good time at Waterlink Way, Winsford Road. Bring your booking confirmation on your phone or printed to collect your runner number and complete registration. Reusable Santa hats are available to anyone who needs one, on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. Hats come in one size and are not guaranteed.

10:30–10:45am · Briefing and group warm-up
Tara from The Transformation Tribe will lead the warm-up so everyone is ready to run. Please gather at the start for the briefing.

10:45am–12 noon · Santa Dash
Runners start from 10:45am. Depending on numbers, you may be assigned a wave, with groups leaving at intervals to spread out participants.

From 11:00am · Celebrate at the Perry Hill Pub
The official post-run meeting place opens at 11am. Exchange your race number for a cup of mulled wine or hot spiced apple juice and mince pies, included in your entry. Spectators are welcome to gather and warm up too. If you do not want to keep your Santa hat, return it here so it can potentially be reused.

 

Choose your pace

 

This is a community fun run with no expectation about speed. Join the group that suits you:

• Fast walking
• 7:30–8:30 min/km
• 6:30–7:30 min/km
• 5:30–6:30 min/km
• Faster than 5:30 min/km

Your booking choice is a guide only. Final pace groups are allocated on the day, and you can change your choice when you arrive.

 

The 5K route

 

Follow the route map above along River Pool Linear Park and Riverview Walk. From the start, head to Southend Lane for the first turnaround, continue to the Catford Hill park entrance and turn once, return to Southend Lane for the second turnaround, then head back to the marked finish.

The route does not cross roads. You may need to cross roads travelling to the start or the Perry Hill Pub afterwards. This is a shared, open park: please be considerate of pedestrians, cyclists, dog walkers and children.

Parking: Free on-street parking is available near Winsford Road, around the Perry Hill Pub and in the streets between.

Marshals and first aid: High-visibility marshals will guide and encourage you around the course. First-aid cover is based at the start/finish. If you need help at any point, tell a marshal so they can contact the organisers and arrange medical assistance.
